Fells Point Corner Theatre COVID-19 Update

As the situation surrounding Covid-19 continues to unfold and change at a rapid pace, the Board of Fells Point Corner Theatre is committed to continuously evaluating what our best practices are for the health and safety of our cast, crew, and our community. To that end, the Board has made the incredibly difficult decision to suspend the production of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The remainder of our season, including our ever-popular 10x10x10, will continue as planned. We will continuously monitor the situation and the advice from local and state health officials as we evaluate the need for any further adjustments. If you have already purchased tickets for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, we will be contacting you directly.  Operating in good faith, we will be fulfilling all of the cost obligations that have already been incurred for this production, including offering partial stipends to collaborators who have seen their potential income evaporate. Because of this, and understanding that the immediate future looks uncertain at present, we ask that if you can possibly donate or exchange your ticket rather than request a refund, it would go a long way to help ensure that we will be able to go on. But of course, we will offer refunds to those who need or prefer them. We could never have imagined last May, when our new leadership took bold action to rejuvenate FPCT, that this challenge was lying in wait. We will continue to do our very best to steward our beloved theatre through this difficult time. If you happen to have the luxury of making charitable donations at this time, we ask that you please remember FPCT and all the other small local arts organizations whose continued existence now relies upon the generosity of others.
